High protein, low carb snacks for fat loss?
i've cut my calories and junk food a lot, and i have lost quite a bit of weight already. but i've read a lot lately about how important lean protein is in a healthy diet. i think in order to get to my goal and to look better, i need to eat less carbs and more quality, lean protein. any ideas?guidelines 1. High in protein2. Low in carbs sugar but high fiber would be okay 3. preferably low in fat4. Needs to be 200 cals or less i eat a max of 1200 cals per day 5. preferably easy and convenientif it follows my guidelines that would be great, but any suggestions are welcome also, i'm not looking to bulk up im a female , but i do want to build lean muscle and burn the fat on top of them. snacks that help with that would be great

Question on fat loss and muscle gain?
I'm in a little dilemma right now. I am a 16 year old male, I have around 14 % body fat, and I weigh 158 lbs. I have lost weight, but I cannot seem to lose more fat, especially around my navel. I did a little research and according to this site builtlean.com 2011 01 18 how many calories should you eat to lose weight I am required to eat around 1,438 calories a day to lose weight. Well, I'm eating like half of that. With food alone. With exercise I burn around 300 400 calories, depending on the day. Is the reason I can't lose the fat around the navel because I'm in starvation mode? If so, then how do I increase my calorie intake?P.S. I do have a healthy diet and I do exercise 5 6 times a week.

so im 13 5'7 and amazingly down to 211lbs. i eat healthy, i dislike and dont eat bad foods or drink soda. except cafeteria food but i choose the better stuff i walk a mile in 30 35 minutes depending on the ppl walking infront of me who r slow traffic i cross a busyish road and if im walking with someone which slows me down i have about a 5 lbs backpack which i carry too. i dont have $ or time for a gym and there 6 other ppl living in this house. i need some exercises to help me start to loss alittle more fat. i know u cant spot reduce but back fat came on last so im guessing its coming off first. anything to strengthen it? i have great posture and cant rly slouch. i go up and down stairs all day at school too. thx i just rly wanna get this weight i gained from being depressed off bc its a new me o and im dont growing, i hit puberty when i was 7 so im done. haha thx in advance.

Steady cardio vs weight training for fat loss?
I am desparate to lose 30 lbs. I have changed my diet to eat 6 small meals including protien and slow carbs. So far I have lost 4 pounds in one week. To accelerate this should I walk for 45min in my fat burning zone 3 x's per week or do resistance excersize with light weights??? I really want to build toned lean muscle. Hi i have been going to the gym for over a year now and have just been lifting weights trying to build muscle. I have not done any cardio cause i didn't want to lose weight. I was wondering how can i lose some fat with out losing weight or if that's even possible.
What am I doing wrong with fat loss?
I've been working out for a while now and gained a decent amount of muscle. Now im trying to get my muscles defined and I've started trying to burn more calories than I eat. I make sure to not cut my calories too much so I can avoid burning muscle. Anyway, I've been doing exercises like running, using a jump rope, and working out as well multiple times a day. I'm trying to eat 2000 calories per day and burn at least a total of 4000. I also have drink a lot of water and generally eat healthy. Im getting frustrated because i've been at it for about over a week now and at the end of every night the scale shows 180.5 What's the deal? Im thinking that maybe its just the weight of everthing that I consume. Last night the scale did show 179 but tonight its back to 180.5.
